I have dreams and plans that revolve around communities of makers and artists. I see virtual art shows happening in this world of the pandemic that don’t always bring out all of the facets of a live art show and I want to expand on them. I feel like CRASH Space needs to have another art show; we haven’t had one for a while, and I want us to be able to come together after 10 years as an organization, after losing our longtime president to the pandemic, and after a year of mostly virtual events and activities. I want us to be able to come together and celebrate.
So I wanted a virtual art show, and my friend (and co-livestreamer of Amy’s Art Cabaret) Amy Bauer wanted to be able to hold her annual Fun-A-Day LA show as well. What a great chance to collaborate. So Amy started planning her outreach to her community and I got CRASH involved.
tl;dr
We’re having a virtual art show called ART.HAPPENS, February 12-14, 2021.
The call for artists is live, entries will be accepted throughout January.
I’m working on the backgrounds and layout of the virtual space as my entry for the show. I’ll bring some sneak peeks soon.
Yay!!
